• Adornville's Sterling Silver Bead Wire is great for accent and decorative work. Can be used for granulation pieces by twisting the beads apart. See pictures on this listing for examples of use.
• BE ADVISED OF PROPER USE: This beautiful wire (as with all wire) can become brittle after repeated bending. Larger gauges (10 & 12) CAN be used for structural elements like ring bands, but follow all other suggestions for proper use. To avoid breakage of Round Bead Wire: Bend as little as possible, anneal often, use only as decoration (not as jump rings, ring shanks or structural components). Look at pictures in this listing for an examples of use.
• Adornville Sterling contains 92.5% silver and is not plated or filled. Sterling is springier than fine silver and keeps its shape better. 925 Sterling is better than 999 Fine silver for structural elements of pieces where holding shape and remaining rigid is important.
• This wire is of a dead soft temper and should be handled carefully. Anneal as necessary. Temper or hardness is changeable by annealing, work hardening or heat-hardening. Fine silver does not respond to heat-hardening. The harder the metal is after finishing your design, the brighter a finish it will take.
• Order 2 or more and receive a continuous length of wire when available. The wire is coiled and packaged in a reusable plastic bag.
